Alzheimer’s and dementia research during the Covid-19 crisis is changing. Is anybody asking how it’s affecting you?

Recruitment Partners LLC (our sister company) is collecting information from persons with dementia and their family caregivers to help their research partners understand how the COVID-19 epidemic is affecting participation in Alzheimer’s and dementia research. Your feedback will help researchers plan and execute the best research possible when they return to operations. Answers to this survey will remain anonymous. Results of this survey will be published on www.recruitmentpartnersllc.com at the close of the survey.

Stroke Awareness for persons with dementia

The month of May was Stroke Awareness Month. However, in the COVID-19 haze, we regretfully failed to encourage the use of stroke awareness materials during this month. Given the risk of dementia when persons have strokes, any month is a good month to give these materials a look.

ADI Global Webinar – The Hidden Casualties of COVID-19

Alzheimer’s Disease International has invited their friends and colleagues to their global webinar “The hidden casualties of COVID-19: revealing the
emergency in care homes and the lessons learnt in day care.” This webinar
will be held on Wednesday June 3rd at 8am EDT.

Across the world, the COVID-19 outbreak has highlighted the vulnerability of our elderly populations, who, as a group, are most at risk of this virus and also most likely to be living with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as dementia. This webinar will address these challenges and many others and look to the lessons we must take from this experience.
